About the Platform

The Intelligence Layer for Serious Collectors

Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault was founded on a single conviction: every collector deserves institutional-grade tools to understand and maximize the value of what they own. Whether you hold a single prized rookie card or a multi-million-dollar estate of graded slabs, our platform delivers the same level of market intelligence, organization, and appraisal accuracy previously reserved only for large dealers and auction houses.

HOF tracks six distinct collectible categories — each with its own pricing methodology, grading standards, and market dynamics. We pull auction results from Goldin, Heritage, PWCC, and eBay, and cross-reference population reports from PSA, BGS, SGC, CGC, AFA, and PSA/DNA to deliver curator-verified pricing across every category we cover.

Please read these Terms carefully before accessing or using the Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault platform. By using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

Last Updated: March 31, 2026  ·  Hall of Famous, LLC

Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before accessing or using the Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault platform ("Platform"), operated by Hall of Famous, LLC ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By registering for an account or accessing any portion of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Platform Description & Purpose

Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault provides an online platform enabling registered users ("Clients") to catalog, organize, and monitor the estimated curator price of sports cards and related memorabilia within a personal digital portfolio ("Vault"). The Platform aggregates publicly available transaction data, population report data from third-party grading companies, and auction results from third-party sales venues in order to generate estimated valuations ("Estimated Values").

The Platform also provides a peer-to-peer marketplace, market analytics, industry news, and advertising services. Use of any individual feature may be subject to additional terms presented at the time of use.

2. Valuation Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice

All Estimated Values generated by the Platform are for informational and reference purposes only. They do not constitute a formal appraisal, a guarantee of sale price, investment advice, financial advice, or a solicitation to buy or sell any item. Actual realized prices at auction or private sale may differ materially from any Estimated Value displayed.

The Company is not a licensed appraiser, financial advisor, broker, or dealer. Clients who require formal appraisals for insurance, legal, tax, or estate purposes should engage a credentialed professional appraiser in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). The Company makes no representation that Estimated Values will meet the standards of any particular insurer, lender, taxing authority, or court.

3. Account Registration & Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to register for an account. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You may not create more than one account per individual unless authorized under a Dealer or Institutional plan. Accounts are non-transferable. The Company reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that appear to be fraudulent, duplicative, or operated by automated bots.

4. Marketplace Transactions & Escrow

The Platform facilitates peer-to-peer transactions between registered Clients. The Company acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller. The Company makes no warranty as to the authenticity, grade accuracy, condition, or title of any item listed for sale unless explicitly stated in a Platform-certified listing designation.

All marketplace transactions are subject to our Escrow Policy, under which payment is held by the Company's designated payment processor until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction, or until a dispute resolution period expires. Transaction fees, as published in the Platform's current fee schedule, apply to all completed sales. Sellers are solely responsible for accurate item descriptions, correct grade representations, and timely shipping.

Buyers and sellers agree to resolve disputes first through the Platform's internal dispute resolution process before initiating any external legal proceedings. The Company's maximum liability in connection with any single marketplace transaction shall not exceed the transaction escrow amount.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and data compilations — is the exclusive property of Hall of Famous, LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and trade secret laws. You may not reproduce, scrape, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without express written permission. 6. Privacy & Data Use

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. In summary: we collect account registration data, collection inventory data you input, and usage analytics. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal collection data with third parties for marketing purposes. Client Vault data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3 or higher. You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by contacting support.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSSES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON ESTIMATED VALUES, FAILED TRANSACTIONS, MARKET FLUCTUATIONS, OR DATA INACCURACIES.

The Company's total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total fees paid by you to the Company in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100.00 USD).

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following on or through the Platform:

■ Listing counterfeit or altered items
■ Misrepresenting grades or condition
■ Automated scraping of market data
■ Shill bidding or price manipulation
■ Creating fraudulent or duplicate accounts

CGC Grading

Certified Guaranty Company — the only major independent grading company, covering sports cards, TCG, comics, action figures, video games and more. The fastest-growing grader in the hobby with +121% YoY volume growth.

Why CGC?

The Independent Standard in Collector Grading

CGC is the only major independent grading company in the hobby — not owned by Collectors Holdings, which controls PSA, BGS, and SGC. CGC grew 121% year-over-year in 2025, grading over 4.9 million cards while maintaining a significantly faster turnaround than PSA on most tiers. The CGC Pristine 10 (Gold Label) has now surpassed the PSA 10 in resale value for modern Pokemon — making CGC the smart submission choice for TCG collectors chasing peak grades.

At Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault, CGC is our preferred grading company. Their independence, consistent standards, and faster turnaround times make them the right choice for modern cards, TCG, and comics. CGC covers all 6 HOF categories — sports cards, TCG, comics, action figures, autographs, and memorabilia authentication.

🥇
The CGC Pristine 10 (Gold Label) — The Gold Hunt
The CGC Pristine 10 is statistically harder to achieve than a PSA 10, requiring absolute perfection across all grading criteria. In 2026, the CGC Pristine 10 has surpassed the PSA 10 in resale value for modern Pokemon cards — with the gap closing across One Piece and other TCG categories. For collectors submitting perfectly centered, flawless cards, the CGC "Gold Hunt" is the highest-risk, highest-reward submission strategy in the hobby. A CGC Pristine 10 on a key card can command 20–40% more than the equivalent PSA 10.

HOF Grading Guide

CGC vs PSA — When to Use Each

The right grader depends on your card type, timeline, and target market. Here is the HOF Curator framework.

Send to CGC when
  • Card is modern TCG (Pokemon, One Piece, MTG)
  • You need faster turnaround (18–45 days vs 150+ at PSA)
  • Card is comic book (CGC is the definitive standard)
  • Chasing the Pristine 10 Gold Label — highest TCG premium
  • Card has market peak window — turnaround timing matters
  • You value grading company independence
Send to PSA when
  • Card is vintage sports (pre-2000) targeting auction houses
  • Declared value is $5,000+ and PSA premium matters
  • Buyer specifically requests PSA (some vintage collectors do)
  • You are a PSA Collectors Club member with bulk submission
  • Card is for long-term hold and turnaround time is not a concern

Action Figure Authority  ·  CGA Grading

AFA Grading

Action Figure Authority — the gold standard in action figure and vintage toy authentication since 1998. AFA-graded figures command significant premiums at auction. Castle Grayskull AFA 90 sold for $209,410 — an all-time production toy record.

Why AFA?

The Gold Standard in Action Figure Authentication

AFA has graded the most valuable action figures in the world for over 25 years. When a figure carries the AFA label, collectors and auction houses worldwide recognize it as the benchmark certification for condition and authenticity. AFA operates as part of the Collectible Grading Authority (CGA) based in Roswell, Georgia.

The vintage action figure market is growing at 10.6% CAGR through 2032 — driven by adult "kidult" collectors in their peak earning years who grew up with Kenner, Hasbro, and Mattel products from 1977–1995. AFA-graded figures are now accepted at Heritage Auctions, Goldin, LCG Auctions, and Clean Sweep Auctions for high-value consignments.

The AFA Scale

How AFA Grades Action Figures

AFA uses a 100-point composite scale evaluating the figure, packaging, and cardback separately (e.g., AFA 85/80/85). A single crushed corner can be the difference between an AFA 80 and AFA 90 — a gap worth tens of thousands of dollars.

90–100
AFA 90 / 85
Near perfect condition. Record tier. AFA 90 examples command all-time record prices at major auction houses.
80–89
AFA 80 / 75
Excellent condition. Strong secondary market. HOF Curator Index tracks DT Vader at AFA 85 — $118,000.
70–79
AFA 70
Very Good+ to Excellent. Significant step down from 80 tier but still commanding strong premiums over ungraded.
60–69
AFA 60
Very Good. Visible wear but still sealed and authentic. Good entry-level graded condition for many franchises.

PSA Grading

Professional Sports Authenticator — the world's largest and most trusted third-party trading card authentication and grading company, a division of Collectors Universe since 1991.

Why PSA?

The Gold Standard in Card Authentication

PSA has graded over 50 million collectibles since its founding in 1991, making it the single most recognized certification in the hobby. A PSA-graded card carries a universally accepted grade that collectors, dealers, and auction houses trust worldwide — and consistently commands a premium over raw or self-graded cards at sale.

At Hall of Famous Memorabilia Vault, PSA is part of Collectors Universe alongside BGS and SGC. Their grading standards, population reporting, and tamper-evident holders directly integrate with our real-time valuation engine. Every PSA certification number in your Vault can be cross-referenced against live population data for the most accurate est. value possible.

Collector Protection  ·  Phase 1 Guide

Insure Your Collection

Your graded cards, autographs, and memorabilia are a real financial asset. One break-in, fire, or flood without proper coverage can erase years of collecting. Learn how to protect what you've built.

Why It Matters

Standard Homeowner's Policies Don't Cover Collectibles

Most homeowner's and renter's policies cap personal property claims at $1,000–$2,500 for collectibles — if they cover them at all. A single PSA 10 Charizard, a Brady game-worn helmet, or a Jordan RC can exceed that cap many times over. Specialty collectibles insurance exists specifically to close this gap.

🔥
Fire & Water Damage
A house fire or burst pipe can destroy an entire graded collection in minutes. No PSA slab is fireproof. Specialty insurance covers full replacement value — not depreciated retail.
🚨
Theft & Burglary
High-value collections are a known target. Standard renter's policies cap theft reimbursement far below market value. Agreed-value specialty policies pay out the full insured amount without depreciation arguments.
📦
Transit & Shipping Loss
Sending a card to PSA or to a buyer? Carrier declared value caps don't reflect actual card value. Specialty policies cover cards in transit — to graders, shows, and buyers — not just at home.
💔
Accidental Damage
Cracked slabs, dropped memorabilia, display case failures — accidental damage riders on specialty policies cover what homeowner's policies explicitly exclude.
📈
Market Value Appreciation
Your Jordan RC PSA 10 was worth $600K last year and $755K today. Specialty policies allow annual value updates so your coverage grows with the market — homeowner's policies don't.
🏟️
Show & Convention Coverage
Cards on display at the National, a local card show, or a dealer event are typically not covered by home policies. Specialty coverage extends to any physical location where your collection travels.
The Process

4 Steps to Properly Insure Your Collection

1
Document Your Collection
Create a complete inventory with certification numbers, grades, and current market values for every item. Include photos of each slab, memorabilia piece, and autograph. Keep a copy stored off-site (cloud or physical). Insurers require documentation to issue a policy and to process a claim — the more thorough your records, the faster and higher your payout.
PSA Cert # for every card CGC Cert # for every card Auction receipts + photos
2
Verify Certification Numbers
Before insuring any graded card, confirm the certification number is valid and matches the stated grade and card. Counterfeit slabs exist — an insurer will not cover a fraudulent cert. Use the lookup tools below to verify PSA and CGC cert numbers directly against the official grader databases. This takes 30 seconds per card and protects both you and your insurer.
3
Get a Specialty Collectibles Policy
Contact a specialty collectibles insurer — not your general homeowner's agent. Collectibles-specific policies offer agreed-value coverage (no depreciation), worldwide protection, transit coverage, and annual value update options. Collections under $25,000 are often covered with a simple inventory form. Collections above $25,000 may require a formal appraisal from a certified appraiser.
4
Update Annually as Values Change
The sports card market moves fast. A card insured at $30,000 last year may be worth $45,000 today. Schedule an annual policy review every January — update values using recent auction comps, the HOF Curator Index, and your PSA/CGC cert lookup data. Underinsurance is the most common and costly mistake collectors make.
Authentication Verification

Verify Your Certification Numbers

Confirm every graded card in your collection is authentic before submitting for insurance. Enter a cert number below — we'll link you directly to the official grader database record.

🔵
PSA Cert Lookup
psacard.com · Official Registry
PSA certification numbers are 8–9 digits, found on the label inside every PSA slab. The PSA Population Report shows card details, grade, and total pop at that grade.
What you'll see on PSA:
Card name · Year · Grade · Grade qualifiers · Population at grade · Total population · Current cert status (valid / invalid / altered)
🟡
CGC Cert Lookup
cgccards.com · Official Census
CGC certification numbers appear on the label of every CGC slab. The CGC Census shows card details, grade, Pristine 10 vs Gem Mint 10 distinction, and population by grade.
What you'll see on CGC:
Card name · Set · Grade label (Pristine 10, Gem Mint 10, etc.) · Population at grade · CGC Census rank · Cert authenticity status
💡
Where to Find Your Cert Number
PSA: Look at the white label on the front of the slab — the cert number is the 8–9 digit number printed below the grade.  |  CGC: The cert number is on the label inside the slab — typically a 10-digit number beginning with 4. Both can also be found on the original grading receipt or in your online submission account.

Protect Your Collection with
Collectibles Insurance Services

HOF recommends Collectibles Insurance Services (CIS) — the leading specialty insurer for sports cards, trading cards, autographs, and memorabilia in the United States. CIS policies are specifically designed for collectors and offer agreed-value coverage, transit protection, worldwide coverage, and no depreciation on claims.

CIS has insured collector assets since 1966 and is the preferred insurer for hobbyists across the sports card, coin, stamp, and memorabilia markets.

✓ Agreed Value — No Depreciation ✓ Worldwide Coverage ✓ Transit & Shipping Included ✓ No Minimum Value ✓ Covers Cards, Autos & Memorabilia ✓ Annual Value Updates

Clicking opens Collectibles Insurance Services in a new tab. HOF may receive a referral fee for introductions. This is not financial or legal advice — always review policy terms before purchasing.
For High-Value Collections ($500K+)

Collections with items above $250,000 in individual value — such as PSA 10 Jordan rookies, 1/1 Logomans, or game-used championship memorabilia — may benefit from fine art and high-value specialty coverage through insurers such as Chubb Masterpiece or AXA Art. These policies are underwritten differently and often require a certified appraisal. Consult an independent insurance broker specializing in fine art and collectibles for collections at this tier.

HOF is not a licensed insurance broker or financial advisor. Insurance partner links may include referral arrangements. Always read policy terms in full and consult a licensed insurance professional before purchasing coverage. Cert lookup tools link directly to PSA and CGC official databases — HOF does not store or transmit certification data.
